Class-1 Parent Orientation Report (2021-22)
“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school.”
Pearl School organized an orientation program for the parents of Grade I – West Bay Campus on 5th April 2021. The purpose of the program was to familiarize the parents with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
The Academic Coordinator of Grade I & II Ms. Lali Neshi Kumar commenced the meeting. The Vice Principal, Ms. Geetha Somasekharan welcomed the parents. The quality coordinator Dr. Rupali disseminated school’s Mission & Vision.
The chief Guest for the event was Mr. Sam Mathew, President of Pearl School. He addressed the audience. Ms. Julie, grade 2 teacher presented the overview of the curriculum which included description of curriculum, Timetable, PTM schedule, Assessment structure, co-curricular activities, and introduction of class teachers. This provided the parents with an assurance that our curriculum involves hands-on learning activities which not only are a vent for the creative talents and energies of the children but also help in their all-round development.
A PPT on School Portal and our teaching-learning platform, Microsoft Teams was showcased and explained by Ms. Hazeena Najeeb, Primary Academic Coordinator. The School Nurse Ms. Devika gave tips on healthy breakfast options, safety, and precautionary measures to be taken during illness. General awareness of Covid-19 preventive measures and hygiene practices were highlighted.
The orientation program ended by vote of thanks by Ms. Lali Neshi Kumar on a good note with a collective aim of growing our children into happy, skillful, and creatively well- adjusted citizens.
