World Book day is known as World Book and Copyright day or International day of the book. It was first celebrated on 23rd April 1995 and still continues. This annual event is celebrated over 100 countries all over the world and is organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing and copyright, marked. This event celebrates authors, illustrators, books and reading most importantly.
Pearl School has celebrated ‘World Book Day’ for the third consecutive year in Thumama campus on 23rd & 24th February 2020 by holding Book fair. “Today a Reader Tomorrow a Leader” was the theme of the book fair. The gala event had activities like designing bookmark and large decorated photo frame for taking photos.
Parents, teachers and students were encouraged to provide their thoughts regarding importance of reading books, to motivate and encourage our students towards the same. Hexis Trading had brought their large collection of valuable books to the Book fair. The event drew an amazing response from both the students as well as parents with enormous interest in books.
