A team of 30 students and four teachers from Pearl School, West Bay campus went to visit the Indian Navy Ship, INS TRIKAND at Hamad Port. INS Trikand (F51) is a Talwar-class frigate of the Indian Navy. It is the third and final ship of the second batch of Talwar-class frigates ordered by the Indian Navy. It was built by the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia. It was commissioned in Indian Navy service on 29 June 2013.
The visit aims at exploring the features and facilities of the ship. The team consisted of students from Grade 8 and Grade 9. Mr. Lokesh, Mr. Praveen, Ms. Arul Nadar and Ms. Divya were the faculty members who accompanied the students.
The navy officers showed various war equipment’s and explained their features to students. It was a very informative session and provided a great learning experience to the students.
