World Environment Day Activit y- Classes I& II
“Take care of the earth and she will take care of you”
World Environment Day occurs on the 5th of June every year, and it encourages awareness and action for the protection of our environment. It has been one of the great annual events for years which is being celebrated worldwide by the people aiming to protect the unique and life nurturing Nature on every year. The theme for the year 2018 is “Beat Plastic Pollution”, and is a call for individuals to take charge of their surroundings and realize the severity of using plastic in daily life. As a part of it, the students and the teachers of class I Pearl School West Bay Campus participated very actively by planting saplings in the school campus. Every student of class I brought one sapling with much excitement. All the students accompanied by their class teachers gathered in the ground. Our Respected Principal Ma’am Ms. Manjari Recriwal inaugurated the activity by planting a sapling. This was followed by all the students planted their saplings and watered them. It brought awareness among the children to protect our environment.
Class II West Bay Campus celebrated World Environment Day by making a poster to develop a platform for raising awareness and taking action on increasingly urgent environmental issues. The children enjoyed making the poster and made them aware about the importance of protecting the environment. All the sections of class II made different posters. It was an interesting and informative activity.
The students have an opportunity to explore their creativity, to understand the importance of nurturing the Environment, to imbibe social responsibility and being eco- friendly.
