WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CLASSES- I &II WEST BAY CAMPUS
World Environment Day is observed on 5th of June every year and is one of the most popular days on the United Nations calendar. It is an opportunity to raise awareness and promote action on national environmental issues. The theme for World Environment Day in 2019 is ‘Beat air Pollution’.
Pearl School West Bay campus celebrated World Environment Day on 17th of June 2019. Classes I and II conducted different activities to mark the event.
Class 1- Creating a little greener space in the world is a great way to celebrate World Environment Day. Students were encouraged to plant saplings in the school campus and they were made aware that planting more trees can save our environment. All the students enjoyed the activity and enthusiastically participated in the event.
Class 2- A simple way to increase awareness, the students were asked to bring pictures on the environment to make a chart. All the students actively took part in the chart making and showed their love for nature.
Reflection / Observation: The students have an opportunity to explore their creativity, to understand the importance of nurturing the Environment, to imbibe social responsibility and being eco- friendly.
