The 70th Republic Day of India was celebrated by the students of Class V on 22nd January 2019 Pearl School, Thumama Campus. Students warmly welcomed all the teachers and students. A small introduction about Republic Day was given by them. The assembly started with Quran Recitation followed by School Prayer. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The assembly commenced with the melodious choir presenting a medley of patriotic songs. Students spoke eloquently about the importance of Republic Day and how it is celebrated in India and Doha. They also spoke about Constitution of India, Dr.B.R. Ambedkar and National symbols of India. After the speech students recited patriotic poems in English, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The last performance of the assembly was a dance presented by boys and girls on patriotic songs. The students were dressed in tricolour attire to mark the occasion. The Principal, Ms. Manjari Recriwal applauded the performance of the students and urged them to do their best and always feel proud of being Indians. The program came to an end with the singing of National Anthem.
