“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.”
– Mahatma Gandhi
World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and it is the United Nation’s principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
Right from childhood we should generate awareness about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment in our children. Keeping this in mind, students of class II of Pearl School, Thumama campus celebrated Environment Day on 12th and 13th June. A group discussion on how to keep our environment green and clean was conducted. All the students enthusiastically took part and came up with different ideas. Then they coloured the drawing of Earth and decorated it with small pieces of blue and green colour papers. It was a good learning experience for them.
