Kaleidoscope – ‘Fancy Dress Competition’ 2017-18
“The costume affects your posture, affects your walk, how you hold yourself and how you breathe. The costumes make you deliver.”
The grand Fancy Dress Competition for the Kaleidoscope 2017-18 was organised on Tuesday, 23rd January 2018 at our West Bay Campus for Class 2. It was a much awaited event, as it is always a pleasure to watch the lovely children dressed up as different characters. The students came forward displaying their vibrant and eclectic mix of costumes.
The overwhelming participation by the children and the efforts taken by their parents is highly appreciable and were on display when they came on stage one by one. To name a few motley group of characters like farmer, Spiderman, Superman, reporter, robot, nurse, tree etc., that were played elegantly.
Our Jury comprised of Mrs. Radhika and Mrs. Julie for the event. However the presence of our Principal Madam made this event more memorable as she entertained and elevated the mood of children. Happiness was palpable on the faces of the children.
Then came the difficult task of selecting deserving candidates for first, second and third prizes along with consolation prizes, which our Judges performed justly.
The winners of this competition were:
1 | Salma Nuha | 2WD | First Position |
2 | Nritha Neshikumar | 2WA | Second Position |
4 | Ayush Prabhu | 2WB | Third Position |
5 | Janvi Sunil | 2WA | Consolation Prize |
6 | Priyamvada Sharma | 2WC | Consolation Prize |
The enthusiasm and zeal with which the children participated and performed was extremely praiseworthy. The Judges praised the children for their efforts and wonderful costumes. The competition created an amiable ambience and the judges heartily responded with their applause. The competition proved to be great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to discover their hidden talents.
