Just A Minute Competition – Class II
“Take care of your minutes and the hours will take care of themselves.”
Just A Minute (JAM) is an all-round-fun activity about the control of the mind over the mouth and sparring of thoughts and words. With an aspiration to stimulate the oratory skills of students and provoke creative thinking, Pearl School, West Bay Campus, organized Just a Minute Competition for Class-II on 17 September 2018.
The Just a Minute competition tests student’s creativity, presence of mind and command over language all within a span of one minute. The topics were given on the spot. Each child got the opportunity to express his or her views. Their excitement could be seen in the way they picked up the slips and expressed themselves. It was indeed a great pleasure to see how our little Pearls expressed their views on the given topics.
The students were judged on the basis of knowledge about the topic vocabulary, fluency, confidence and time duration (1 minute).
This JAM session provided a platform for the students to show their talent, creativity, interpersonal skills and expertise in impromptu speech. The participants displayed their oratory skills and spoke empathetically on the allotted topics with bubbling energy.
