READING COMPETITION- ENGLISH CLASS-I
“Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.’’
When you develop the habit of reading you eventually get addicted to it and benefit in many ways. Books are a rich source of information and knowledge. Reading facilitates development of language skills and vocabulary and enhances overall academic and intellectual development. It can help you grow and develop new perspectives of life. With an aspiration to develop the reading skills/habit of students, Pearl School West Bay Campus, organized Reading Competition for Class-I on 15th October 2018.
Reflection/ Observation: Good books can influence you positively and guide you towards the right direction in life. They also help in overcoming various challenges. Reading books is also a way to relax and reduce stress. Reading increases creativity. Reading also inspires one to write and one can fall in love with writing as well.
The Students were judged on the basis of knowledge about the topic- fluency, clarity, pronunciation, voice modulation.
