Class 2A of Thumama campus conducted the virtual class assembly on the theme of “WORLD RIVERS DAY”. The assembly started with the Quran recitation and translation by Maryam Abbas and Sara Arif. Thought for the day was given by Meganaath. Anshika read out the Vision and Mission statement of the school. Shreya, Avnitha, Parvathy and Udaya represented four Indian rivers namely Ganges, Brahmaputra, Kaveri, Godavari respectively. They came dressed in white and light blue. They were meeting up with each other on the occasion of the World Rivers Day and discussed the damages that has come upon them and the measures that have been taking place on the last Sunday of September. They sent the message of the rivers been taken care of only on occasions such as the World Rivers Day which is not enough to save them. Rivers need to be taken care of all through the year. They bid adieu and would come back next year to see the status of each other. The vote of thanks was delivered by Hamzah. Qatar national anthem and the Indian National anthem were sung. The assembly was graced by Ms. Aparna and Ms. Pujabindu who spoke to the children to encourage them.
