Class-1 Orientation – West Bay Campus
“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school.”
Pearl School organized an orientation programme for the parents of Grade I – West Bay Campus on 3rd April, 2019. The aim was to familiarize the parents -‘partners in progress’- with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
The Orientation was conducted in 2 sessions. The sessions started with a welcome note by Ms. Lali Neshi Kumar, coordinator of Grade I and II.
The first session was conducted by the Class teachers who presented an overview of the Education Programme. The teachers gave an overview of various subjects like English, Math, Environmental Science, second languages and the co-scholastic activities which provided the parents with an assurance that our curriculum involves hands-on learning activities which not only are a vent for the creative talents and energies of the children but also help in their all-round development. The respective teachers gave detailed information about the learning parameters and stressed upon the innovative teaching and learning methodologies followed in school through the PowerPoint Presentation. A PPT on School Portal was also showcased and explained by Ms.Joy, the Portal Assistant.
The second session was presented by the Quality Coordinator Dr Rupali Jain who explained the revised Vision and Mission statement of the school. The School Nurse Ms. Devika gave tips on healthy breakfast options, safety and precautionary measures to be taken during illness.
The orientation programme ended on a good note with a collective aim of growing our children into happy, skillful and creatively well- adjusted citizens.
